Jason Capel has a extensive work experience in the sports marketing industry. Jason started their career in 2000 as an Assistant AD for Marketing at Winthrop University. Jason then joined ISP Sports, where they became the General Manager of the App State Sports Network and achieved significant revenue growth within two years. After that, they worked at IMG College as the General Manager of the USF Sports Network, where they successfully negotiated TV, radio, and sponsorship deals. In 2012, they became the General Manager of the MTSU Sports Network at Nelligan Sports Marketing, increasing property profits by 12% in their first full season. Jason then joined Learfield Sports as a Regional Manager and later became the GM of Blue Raider Sports Properties. Currently, they are the Vice President of the South Region Collegiate Services Division at Van Wagner Sports & Entertainment. In December 2021, they were promoted to the role of Senior Vice President for the East Region at Van Wagner.
