VP, Performance Strategy, Research & Innovation at Vancouver Whitecaps

Ben Sporer is the Vice President of Performance Strategy, Research & Innovation at Vancouver Whitecaps. Ben is also a founding partner of Integrated Athlete Development (IAD) and the lead for concept, research and curriculum development for the KidsMove program.

Ben's journey in the sports industry began at Fortius Institute where they worked as a Physiology and Performance Advisor. It was here that they first developed their passion for helping athletes reach their potential. In 2016, they co-founded IAD with the goal of providing holistic and integrated programming for youth and developing athletes.

IAD has partnered with organizations like the Steve Nash Foundation, Fortius Sport and Health, and Promotion Research Institute to provide programming solutions that teach physical literacy and life skills through sport. The KidsMove program is one of the flagship programs of this collaboration and has been made possible through donor funding.

Ben's expertise in physiology and performance has helped countless athletes reach their potential. Their commitment to helping others has made him an invaluable asset to the sports industry.

They are on a team with Brandon Timko - Director of Communication, Christopher Franks - Director of Therapy, and Erin Mathany - Senior Vice President, Marketing. Their manager is Jeff Mallett, Co-Owner & Executive Chair.
