Gilbert Long

Gilbert Long is an accomplished musician and educator with extensive experience in the field of music. Since 1978, Gilbert Long has served as the Principal Tuba for the Nashville Symphony and has held the position of Artist Teacher at Vanderbilt University since 1980. Additionally, Gilbert Long has been the Business Manager for Aardworks, a Brass Publishing Company, since 1987. Prior to these roles, Gilbert Long was with the Grand Rapids Symphony from August 1976 to July 1978. Gilbert Long earned a Bachelor of Music Arts degree from the University of Louisville, where studies were completed between 1971 and 1975, and also attended Austin Peay State University from 1975 to 1976.
