Adam Collier

Adam Collier is currently a Design Safety Expert at Vanderlande, having commenced this role in August 2023. Prior to this, Adam had an extensive tenure at Royal Mail from January 2013 to August 2023, where roles included Head of Engineering Design, Technical Project Lead, and Engineering Technical Manager, with key responsibilities in managing multi-functional engineering project teams and serving as the national design authority for automated parcel sorting machinery. Adam began at Royal Mail Engineering as an Automation Engineer from March 2009 to January 2013, overseeing national automation technology transfer programs and validating engineering specifications. Initial experience at Royal Mail included roles as Senior Technical Expert and Project Engineer, focusing on compliance with safety regulations and ensuring the performance of sorting automation. Adam holds a BSc hons in Information Technology & Mechatronics from The Open University and has further qualifications from Imperial College London and Cheltenham & Gloucester College in related fields.
