Pete Gatenby

Pete Gatenby has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Pete started their career as a Project Team Leader at the Sydney University Formula SAE Program. Pete worked as a Tutor in the University of Sydney in 2010. After that, they worked as a Consultant at Stratos Consulting Pty Ltd from 2012 to 2015. During this time, they helped create strategic development plans for government infrastructure and assets portfolios. Pete then joined Ecosave as a Project Engineer in 2013. Pete worked there for three years and was responsible for delivering savings in energy and water usage, designing energy and water efficiency solutions, and managing projects for clients across Australia and New Zealand. Later on, they worked as a Senior Project Manager at Konisto Companies LLC for a year. After that, they joined Ecosave Inc. in Philadelphia in 2018 as a Senior Energy Solutions Engineer, where they developed energy savings and pricing tools, financial models, and internal processes for solar PV project development. In 2020, they worked as the Vice President of Engineering and Director of Engineering at Vanguard Building Solutions, LLC. It’s a company that focuses on comprehensive building upgrades focused on energy efficiency, renewable energy generation, and smart building management at no upfront cost. Recently, in 2022, they started working at Transport for NSW as a Senior Category Manager of Utilities.

Pete Gatenby obtained their high school education from Galston High School, where they studied from 2001 to 2006. Afterward, they attended the University of Sydney, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) degree in Mechanical Engineering between 2007 and 2011. Pete also obtained a certification in Certified Measurement & Verification Professional (CMVP) from Efficiency Valuation Organization.
