Jane Borden is an accomplished author and freelance journalist with extensive experience in the publishing and media industries. Currently serving as an author at Simon & Schuster since January 2022, Jane's notable work includes the book “Cults Like US: How Doomsday Drives America.” Additionally, Jane has been a freelance journalist for The Washington Post and Vanity Fair since 2016 and 2012, respectively, contributing enterprise journalism and cultural articles. Previous roles include writing and researching for the Emmy-nominated PBS documentary series “Off the Beaten Path” and serving as the magazine editor for Arts and Entertainment at Time Out New York. With a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Jane has also worked on various writing projects for notable publications, including Random House and The L Magazine.
