Jeffrey Peterson

Jeffrey Peterson has a comprehensive work experience in the software engineering and healthcare domains. Jeffrey is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at Vanna Health since December 2022. Prior to that, they held the role of Software Engineering Manager at Buoy Health from January 2020 to December 2022.

Before transitioning to management, Jeffrey worked as a Software Engineer at MGH Emergency Department / MIT Institute of Medical Engineering and Science from January 2016 to January 2020. During this time, they were involved in grant-funded research and development of patient care support technologies for the MGH Emergency Department.

Jeffrey also has experience as a Clinical Systems Engineer at MD PnP Interoperability Program at MGH from March 2014 to January 2016. In this role, they were part of a small team working on healthcare intranet prototyping and research and development of emergent systems for clinical closed loop control and clinical decision support.

Earlier in their career, Jeffrey held positions at UMass Memorial Medical Center, including Clinical Engineer from August 2011 to March 2014 and Hospital Laboratory Support Technician I from June 2007 to August 2011.

Through their work experience, Jeffrey has gained expertise in software engineering, management, healthcare technologies, and clinical systems engineering.

Jeffrey Peterson completed their education in the field of biomedical engineering. Jeffrey obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Connecticut in the years 2007 to 2011. After completing their undergraduate studies, they pursued further education and earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Biomedical and Clinical Engineering from the University of Connecticut in the years 2011 to 2013. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in Machine Learning and Deep Learning Specialization from Coursera in the years 2018 and 2019 respectively.
