VP, Physical Security & Cybersecurity at Vantage Data Centers

As vice president of physical security and cybersecurity for Vantage Data Centers, Gregory Thompson leads the design and implementation of the company’s overall security strategy ensuring Vantage meets all regulatory and customer requirements. With nearly 15 years of security experience across the commercial and government sectors, Thompson drives Vantage’s approach to prevent and preparing for adverse physical security and cybersecurity events. This includes building a model for security threat responses, creating business continuity plans, as well as developing and maintaining state-of-the-art security architecture for every Vantage campus worldwide.

Prior to joining Vantage, Thompson was a security manager for General Dynamics Corporation where he was responsible for organizational security for more than 400 employees. He has held several roles at the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), including an acting associate chief security officer, where he trained colleagues on security measures and significantly reduced risks by conducting physical security risk assessments and implanting process improvements.
