Michael Foran

Michael Foran is an experienced marine engineer currently working as a 2nd Engineer on the Platinum Explorer, a 6th Generation drillship at Vantage Drilling since May 2021. Prior experience includes a role as 2nd Engineer with Seadrill Partners LLC on the Libongos in Angola for one year, and nearly a decade at Transocean Offshore Deepwater Drilling Inc., where responsibilities included serving as 2nd Engineer on the Dhirubhai Deepwater Drillship KG2 and on the Discoveror Seven Seas. Michael began the maritime career at Anglo Eastern Shipping Company as a 3rd Engineer on bulk carriers and container ships, following extensive training and advancement from 5th Engineer to 3rd Engineer at Five Stars Shipping Company Private Limited, focused on various engine types and maintenance tasks. Education includes completion of Class 10 at Saint Patricks School.
