Jon Bruflat

Jon Bruflat has over 20 years of work experience in finance and audit roles. Jon started their career at Arthur Andersen & Co. as an Experienced Senior in External Audit. Jon then worked as an Accounting Manager and Controller at Freddie Mac, where they played a key role in financial restatement efforts. Jon also worked as an Audit Senior at HBL CPAs, an Internal Audit Manager at Providence Service Corporation, and an Audit Manager at CHAN Healthcare Auditors. Jon joined Vantage West Credit Union in 2010 and held various roles, including AVP Enterprise Risk Management and AVP Finance - Controller. In their current role as Vice President Finance, Jon oversees the financial operations of the credit union. Throughout their career, they have focused on aligning budget aspirations with strategic roadmaps, enhancing internal competencies, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

Jon Bruflat obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Accounting from George Mason University, where they studied from 1995 to 1998. Jon later pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Business Administration and Management, General from the University of Arizona - Eller College of Management, which they completed between 2017 and 2020. In addition to their degrees, Jon Bruflat also holds several certifications, including a Certified Scrum Master (CSM) from the Scrum Alliance, obtained in May 2019. Jon also obtained a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in July 2016. Furthermore, Jon Bruflat holds a Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA) from The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc., which they obtained in November 2012. Additionally, they are a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certified by the Maryland DLLR and AZ State Board since February 2001.
