Khalid Gabr has a diverse work experience spanning over 15 years. Khalid started their career in 2005 at UAE Exchange as an Operations Officer and Supervisor involved in foreign currency dealing and remittances. In 2007, they joined Xpress Money Services Ltd, where they held various roles including Compliance Officer, Assistant Manager for Operations and Support, and Business Development Manager for Arab Mashreq countries. In 2014, they joined Bahrain Financing Company (BFC) as the Regional Head for Arab Mashreq and North Africa, responsible for marketing, business development, and agent relationships. Khalid Gabr then co-founded Vapulus in 2016 and currently holds the position of Head of Fast Remittances and Transfers Department at Egyptian Arab Land Bank since 2019.

Khalid Gabr obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree in Accounting and Business/Management from Ain Shams University between the years 2000 and 2003. Later, they attended Paris ESLSCA Business School from 2016 to 2018, where they earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General. In addition to their formal education, Khalid Gabr also obtained several certifications, including Effective Leadership, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and Profit and Loss from HP Life e-learning in 2015 and 2016.
