Risto Virtanen is a seasoned software engineering professional with extensive experience in leadership and development roles across various companies. Currently serving as a Senior Engineering Lead at Varian since November 2019, Risto leads a team of software engineers. Previous positions include Senior Staff Software Engineer and HR team leader at Nordea, where responsibilities encompassed hands-on application development using JavaScript and Java. Risto has also held leadership roles in R&D at HyperIn and team management positions at Verifone Finland Oy, focusing on both development and scrum methodologies.
