Arun Dobriyal

Arun Dobriyal is currently serving as the Head of Engineering at Vartana, where they are responsible for overseeing the development of their modern BNPL platform. Prior to this, they worked at Snap Inc. for several years, holding various leadership positions such as Engineering Leader for Creative Tools and Engineering Manager for Commerce. During their time at Snap, Arun built and managed teams that developed in-app product browsing and checkout experiences, as well as backend systems for sellers on the Snapchat app. Arun also played a key role in building the payments team and platform at Snap. Before their time at Snap, Arun worked as a Tech Lead at Facebook, where they led their payments platform and introduced direct debit options for advertisers. Arun also has experience as a researcher at IBM, McMaster University, and the Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata.

Arun Dobriyal earned a BTech and MTech degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.
