Dan Ahern has extensive culinary experience, currently serving in an elementary role at Vashon Island School District since January 2022. Prior to this, Dan worked as a chef at Gluten-Free Girl and The Chef from April 2007 to April 2022 and at Impromptu Wine Bar from August 2004 to October 2008, where Dan successfully transitioned the entire menu to gluten-free ahead of industry trends. Dan holds an Associate of Occupational Science in Culinary Arts/Chef Training from New England Culinary Institute, completed between 1989 and 1991, and graduated from Summit High School in 1987.
