Frank Tegtmeier

Dr. Frank Tegtmeier joined vasopharm in 2001.

He worked for more than 5 years in the field of gastroenterology and hepatology at the Oststadt-Hospital Hanover, Germany. Afterwards he acquired 15 years of experience in research & development at Janssen-Cilag, Germany (a Johnson & Johnson company).

As head of the preclinical research of Janssen-Cilag Germany he was in charge of transferring compounds from preclinical CNS-pharmacology to clinical evaluation.

He was Lecturer at the Heinrich-Heine-University Duesseldorf, Germany and taught Pathophysiology of the mammalian brain. He is author of over 100 publications within the fields of cerebral infarction and cerebral pathophysiology.

Dr Tegtmeier received his PhD from the Hanover Medical School (MHH) and the Institute for Organic Chemistry, Hanover, Germany.
