Jenny Magnes

Jenny Magnes serves as a Professor of Physics and the Chair of the Physics and Astronomy department at Vassar College since August 2007, where responsibilities include teaching undergraduate physics courses and conducting research in applied optics and bio-optics. Prior to Vassar College, Jenny held the position of Assistant Professor of Physics at the U.S. Military Academy from July 2003 to August 2007, obtaining funding for research and supervising military officers and cadets. Additionally, Jenny worked as an Instructor at the Eisenhower Leadership Company and as a Freelance Editor for Enago - Crimson, consulting for science authors. Jenny Magnes earned a Ph.D. in Physics from Temple University and holds multiple degrees in Physics, Mathematics, and English from various institutions, including Delaware State University and the University of Maryland.
