Nathan Byrd

Nathan Byrd is a highly experienced aerospace engineer specializing in propulsion and components testing. Currently serving as a Staff Components Test Engineer at VAST since November 2024, Nathan previously held the role of Senior Propulsion Test Engineer at Stratolaunch and Virgin Orbit, where Nathan led testing operations for advanced engines such as the Newton 3 and oversaw RP-1 systems. Earlier experiences include positions at SpaceX as a Manufacturing Engineer and Lead Test Technician, focusing on high-pressure aerospace components, as well as serving as a Qualification Test Technician at Parker Aerospace. Nathan Byrd earned a Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona from 2005 to 2011.
