Thomas von der Ohe

CEO & Co-Founder at Vay

Thomas von der Ohe is currently the CEO and co-founder of Vay, a company that they started in September 2016. Prior to Vay, Thomas was a manager at Zoox Inc., where they were in charge of technical program management and software simulation. At Zoox, Thomas led their team to define and implement 3d/2d simulations and log tests for the company's self-driving cars. Before Zoox, Thomas worked as a senior technical program manager at Amazon Lab126, where they launched Alexa features to beta customers across the Echo, Echo Dot, and Amazon Tap devices. Prior to Amazon, Thomas co-founded PocketTaxi, a company that offered a new way to dynamically carpool for commuters. PocketTaxi was seed funded and had revenue generating customers, including Siemens AG and EnBW.

Thomas von der Ohe has a Master's degree in MS&E from Stanford University, with a focus in Computer Science and Entrepreneurship. Thomas also holds a B. Sc. in Industrial Engineering from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT).
