Nathan Grier

Director of Flight Operations at Vayu Aerospace

Nathan Grier has extensive work experience in the aerospace industry and with the United States Air Force. Nathan is currently the Director of Flight Operations at Vayu Aerospace Corporation, a role they have held since March 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Lead Flight Operations/Development at the same company from March 2021 to April 2022.

Nathan also had a long career with the United States Air Force, spanning from 1999 to 2021. During this time, they held various roles including Director of Program Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems from November 2017 to March 2021, Police Officer from March 1999 to March 2021, Cyber Security Manager from January 2014 to November 2017, USAF Liaison from December 2012 to November 2017, and Program Manager Police Services from December 2008 to December 2012.

Nathan Grier's education history begins with their associate's degree in Criminal Justice/Police Science, which they obtained from the Community College of the Air Force in 2001. Nathan then pursued a bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary studies from the American Public University System, completing it in 2014.

In 2017, Nathan enrolled at Excelsior University to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications, which they successfully completed in 2017. Nathan then continued their education at Excelsior University and obtained a Master of Science degree in Cyber Security in 2021.

In addition to their formal education, Nathan also holds multiple certifications. In 2017, they obtained the CompTIA Security+ certification from CompTIA. Nathan has received several certifications related to Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) and Counter Unmanned Aerial Systems (C-UAS) operations and administration, including qualifications from the United States Air Force Academy and various defense organizations such as Dedrone Defense and the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU). Nathan has also obtained certifications in victim witness liaison and vehicular homeside investigation. Their most recent certifications include an FAA License (Part 107) from the Federal Aviation Administration in 2021 and a certification from Impossible Aerospace in 2020.
