Karel Michiels

Karel Michiels has extensive experience in writing, editing, and publishing, spanning several decades. Since 1999, Karel has been with Mediahuis België as a writer for De Standaard, while also serving as a manuscript coach for Willems Uitgevers since January 2020 and as an author for Uitgeverij Lannoo since 2015. Karel is the founder and senior editor of Reggae.be, associated with Beljam Reggae Massive since 2002, and has worked as an author and ghostwriter for VBK uitgevers since 1997. Additional roles include freelance writing for CHANGE think positive in 2016, and involvement with various projects such as 'Helden van de lach' at BroekToe and speech writing for Minister Vincent Van Quickenborne from 2008 to 2011 at FOD Economie. Prior to these positions, Karel worked as a writer for De Morgen at de Persgroep from 1985 to 1999.
