Oliver Hering has extensive experience in the field of engineering and manufacturing, currently serving as Betriebsleiter Fertigung Integrierte Stange Unna and previously as Gruppenleiter (Koordinator) & Projektmanager Metallografie at VDM Metals Group since January 2022. Prior to this role, Hering was Abteilungsleiter Massivumformung at Institut für Umformtechnik und Leichtbau from July 2015 to December 2021 and worked as a scientific researcher. Hering's career began at Magna International as a Werkstudent, developing electric vacuum pumps, and involved an earlier stint at carat robotic innovation GmbH focusing on documentation. Hering holds a Dr.-Ing in Maschinenbau, as well as a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in the same field, all earned from TU Dortmund University between 2009 and 2020.
