Steve Malaska

Steve Malaska currently serves as a Board Member at Veana Therapeutics, LLC since February 2024 and as Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary at Karius since September 2021, where responsibilities include general legal matters, compliance, and regulatory issues. Previously, Steve held the position of General Counsel at Dascena, Inc., providing legal expertise to a pre-IPO biopharmaceutical company. As Owner and Managing Member of Strategic Law & Management Group, PLLC, Steve offered strategic legal advice to biotechnology and foodtech companies. Steve founded Kota Biotherapeutics under Intellectual Ventures, overseeing patent protection and monetization, and held key legal roles at CEPTYR, Inc., Immunex, and Hoffmann-La Roche. Steve holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan and a JD from Santa Clara University School of Law.
