Shawn Clink has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Shawn'smost recent position is as the Head of Strategic Sales at Vectara, a position they have held since March 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Elastic from May 2015 to December 2022, initially as an Account Director and later as a Regional Vice President. At Elastic, their responsibilities included connecting the Elastic Stack community to resources and helping people make sense of data.
Before their time at Elastic, Shawn worked at CA Technologies from 2009 to 2015 as a Sr. Solution Strategist. Shawn also served as a Director at Covario, part of Dentsu Aegis Network, from 2008 to 2009. Additionally, they held roles as a Strategic Accounts Director at ID Analytics from 2007 to 2008 and as an Account Executive at Fair Isaac from 2004 to 2007.
Prior to transitioning into strategic and account management roles, Shawn gained experience in technical and product positions. Shawn worked at Cisco Systems from 1999 to 2004 as a Product Manager & Technical Marketing Engineer, and at Technology Integration Group in 1999 as a Y2K Consultant/Systems Engineer. Before that, they worked as a Consultant (Independent Contractor) at Sprint from 1998 to 1999, and as a Systems Security Engineer (Contractor) at the U.S. Department of State in 1998.
Shawn Clink attended Towson University from 1993 to 1996, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Economics. In terms of additional certifications, they completed the course "Guy Kawasaki on Turning Life Wisdom into Business Success" at LinkedIn in October 2020, and in March 2019, they received a certification in "Strategic Thinking" from LinkedIn as well.
