Voice Subject Matter Expert and iOS Develoer at Vectorform

Joseph Wisniewski has over 30 years of work experience in the field of voice technologies. Joseph began their career in 1985 as an Electrical Engineer at Cummins, Inc, where they developed the DEET rugged engine diagnostic computer, designed the control system for a hyperbar engine, and worked on acoustic signature analysis for the CompuCheck engine analyzer. In 1989, they joined Ford Motor Company as the first full time voice recognition engineer. During their tenure, they helped grow the program from a single person to a world class international operation. Joseph also spearheaded the industry assessment and technology forecasting, QFD and market research, human factors engineering, designed concept demonstration systems and vehicles, assessed technology partners, and did whatever it took to get it into production. In 2000, they joined Visteon as Technical Lead for Voice Technologies. Joseph became the main voice technology resource for all Visteon multimedia systems and used their skills and knowledge to define voice control and hands free audio systems, select vendors, implement systems, and achieve industry-leading performance. Joseph developed voice control systems for production vehicles with Jaguar, Nissan, Ford, and the TACNET police car. In 2007, they joined DENSO as a Voice Controls HMI Engineer, where they developed specifications for 2010 Toyota voice controlled navigation system and validated 2008 system. Joseph also worked on a natural language “casual speech” destination entry and command & control system, and did competitive analysis of several production voice recognition systems. Since 2011, they have been working at Vectorform as a Voice Subject Matter Expert and iOS Developer.

Joseph Wisniewski completed a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Lawrence Technological University between 1980 and 1984. Joseph then went on to earn a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering Systems from Oakland University between 1987 and 1989.
