Allen Salmasi

CEO at Veea

Allen Salmasi has over 30 years of experience in the telecommunications and technology industries. Allen began their career in 1984 as the CEO and President of Omninet Corporation, a company they founded and later merged with QUALCOMM in 1988. At QUALCOMM, they served as a member of the Board of Directors, President of the Wireless Communications Division, and Chief Strategic Officer (CSO). In 1995, they formed NextWave Wireless Inc. (NWI), a company that was subsequently acquired by AT&T in 2013. From 2012 to 2014, they served as Chairman of the Board of Directors for OncoSynergy Inc., NLabs Inc., and NexGenix Pharmaceuticals Inc. Allen was also a Member of the Board of Directors for Korea Information and Communications Co., Ltd. and mimik Technology Inc. In 2014, they became a Member of the Board of Trustees for Barnard College of Columbia University. Finally, since 2014, they have been the CEO of Veea Inc., a company headquartered in New York City with offices in Iselin (NJ), Boston, San Diego, Bath (UK), Geneva, Paris and Seoul.

Allen Salmasi attended Purdue University from 1973 to 1978, where they earned a BSEE, BSME, and MSEE in Electrical Engineering, Business Management, Economics, and Finance. Allen then attended the University of Southern California from 1979 to 1982, where they completed coursework for an MS in Applied Mathematics and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering.
