Thomas Roest is a professional with extensive experience in public safety and crisis management. Currently serving as Officier van dienst bevolkingszorg (OvD-Bz) at Veiligheidsregio Hollands Midden, Thomas is responsible for the coordination and leadership of population care during emergencies. In addition to this role, Thomas works as an Adviseur Openbare Orde & Veiligheid for Gemeente Krimpenerwaard, focusing on various safety themes. Previous positions include Junior Adviseur Veiligheid at Movares, where Thomas provided safety and health advice in infrastructure, and supporting roles in crisis organization and crime prevention. Thomas holds an education from Haagse Hogeschool Den Haag and is currently pursuing further studies at Leiden University.
