Giovanni Intini

Director, Player Platform at Vela Games

Giovanni Intini has over 20 years of experience in the technology industry. In 1998, they started as an Automation Engineer (Step7) at PME Snc. In 1999, they became CEO of PME Sas, where they handled the migration from an old organization model to a newer and leaner one, and implemented the ISO 9001 quality standards. In 2002, they co-founded Key4Web, a company involved in internet services for gamers, and served as their CTO and lead developer of B.I. In 2006, they co-founded Medlar srl, a company that provided small businesses in southern Italy with consulting regarding Information Technology and Internet presence. Giovanni also co-founded Nimboo, a Programmers' Collective devoted to the well being of programmers in Italy and around the world. In 2008, they co-founded Mikamai, a Web Agency specialized in high technology web applications. In 2011, they joined Yemaia as Co-founder and Product Director. In 2015, they joined Riot Games as Head of Product Management - Europe, where they helped lay the foundation of Dublin as the European (product) technology hub. In 2019, they joined Vela Games as Director, Player Platform, Technical Product Manager, and Product+Engineering. As the very first hire, they focused on their combined strengths in Product Management and Engineering, and laid the foundation of the game systems, build systems, infrastructure and backend systems in order to support the organization with its ambitious mission.

Giovanni Intini attended Liceo Scientifico di Bitetto from 1991 to 1996 and earned a Diploma di Scuola Media Superiore in a Scientifico field of study. Giovanni then attended Università degli Studi di Bari from 1997 to 2001, studying Computer Science.
