Amitava Mukherjee

Amitava Mukherjee is the current director of CNBT at Vellore Institute of Technology. Amitava was previously a senior professor and deputy director at VIT, Vellore from August 2014 to October 2020.

Amitava Mukherjee is a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Materials Engineering from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc). Amitava also has a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Materials Engineering from IISc, and a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Metallurgical Engineering from Bengal Engineering College (Deemed University). In addition, they are certified by the Royal Society of Biology as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Biology, and by the Royal Society of Chemistry as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry.

Amitava Mukherjee reports to G. Viswanathan, Founder & Chancellor. They work with T.S. Udayasankar - Technical Director, Margret Anouncia S. - Director, Faculty & Staff Welfare, and Nirmala Grace A. - Director, Centre for Nanotechnology Research.
