Lisa Jiang

Lisa Jiang is the cofounder and CEO of Velma, an AI-driven project management tool for SaaS companies, since June 2020. With a strong background in machine learning, Lisa held various positions at ASAPP from August 2017 to June 2020, including Machine Learning Engineering Manager. Notably, Lisa received the Grand Prize at DV Hacks: AI from BCG Digital Ventures for a project automating insurance claims processing using NLP and image recognition. Prior experience includes a role as a Senior Software Engineer at Bloomberg LP and software development at Inera, Inc., where contributions included developing cloud solutions and streamlining workflows. Lisa's early career involved research in protein structure at the University of Pennsylvania and studies on ovarian cancer. Lisa obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Pennsylvania, combining bioengineering, computer science, and engineering entrepreneurship.
