Marcelo Borges Alves, PSM has extensive work experience in the software engineering field. Marcelo is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at Velo Payments since July 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Banco CTT as a Tech Lead from December 2019 to July 2022. Marcelo also served as a Tech Lead and System Engineer Sr at Banco Votorantim from November 2018 to December 2019 and from May 2012 to November 2018, respectively. At Banco Votorantim, Marcelo led a development team, managed projects, and collaborated with internal and external partners, using platforms like Java, Springboot, Docker, REST, and Angular. Before joining Banco Votorantim, they worked at BV as a System Engineer Sr responsible for the Payment System of BV Financeira. Marcelo was also a Project Manager at Getronics, where they managed software development projects and served as a tech lead. Marcelo started their career as a System Analyst at Tribunal de Justiça do Estado de Goiás from February 1997 to September 2001. Throughout their career, Marcelo has gained expertise in various technologies such as Java, JSP, Struts, EJB, Tomcat, JBoss, and databases like Sybase, Oracle, SQLServer, and IBM DB2.

Marcelo holds a Master's degree in Computer Engineering from Universidade Lusófona - Centro Universitário Lisboa, which they obtained from 2019 to 2022. Prior to that, they completed an MBA in Project Management by PMI at FIAP - Faculdade de Informática e Administração Paulista from 2008 to 2009. Marcelo also earned a degree in Information Technology Science from UFG - Universidade Federal de Goiás between 1997 and 2000.
