Kate Hanley has a diverse work experience in the food and restaurant industry. Kate started their career in 2004 as a Kitchen Manager at Pappasito Cantina and held this role until 2011. From 2011 to 2013, they worked as a Kitchen Manager at Mandola's Italian Market. Kate then joined Newk's Eatery in 2013 and served as a General Manager until 2016. In 2016, they became an Area Director at Newk's Eatery and held this role until 2017. Since 2017, they have been working at Velvet Taco, starting as a Manager and progressing to General Manager and Managing Partner. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Operations at Velvet Taco, starting in December 2021.
Kate Hanley attended Texas State University from 2000 to 2004, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Sports and Exercise/Business. Kate then attended Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts-Austin from 2005 to 2006, where they obtained an Associate of Arts and Sciences (A.A.S.) degree in Culinary Arts/Chef Training/Management.
