Site Engineering Manager at Venator

Anthony Lonyon has over 40 years of work experience, starting with an apprenticeship at Imperial Chemical Industries (ICI) in 1981. At ICI, they held various roles, including Systems Technician, Supervisor, and Systems Technician. Anthony then worked as an Electro-Mechanical Technician at Procter & Gamble before becoming an Engineering Manager at Sir Thomas & Artur Wardle (Courtaulds Textiles).

After that, Lonyon worked as a Chief Engineer at Joshua Wardle Ltd (Dower Green Holdings) before joining Dalkia as a Plant Engineer and later becoming a Contract Manager. At Dalkia, they were responsible for overseeing the transition and outsourcing of site utilities at a prestigious R&D facility.

Lonyon then joined Veolia Energy as a Senior Site Manager, where they led a multifunctional team and ensured regulatory compliance, QSHE, and security of supply for client facilities. Anthony also developed contracts and built partnerships through collaborative working with clients and third parties, demonstrating growth, innovation, and efficiency with portfolio budgets.

Before their current role, Lonyon worked as a Contract Manager at EQUANS EV Solutions, where they managed daily operations at a prestigious pharmaceutical site in Cheshire. Anthony ensured the delivery of all SHE, Site Utilities, Resource, and Compliance, meeting corporate global targets.

Currently, Lonyon is the Site Engineering Manager at Venator Materials Plc, a role they started in 2022.

Anthony Lonyon attended the Open University from 1992 to 1996, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Engineering. Prior to that, they studied at Stockport College of Technology from 1981 to 1989, completing an HNC in addition to various technical attachments and certifications from the City & Guilds. No specific degree or field of study is provided for their time at Ryles Park County High School.
