B. Paul Bockstege

B. Paul Bockstege has significant experience in the field of software engineering. B. Paul started their career with Grumman Technical Services Inc. in 1983, working on a hardware/software upgrade of the Record and Playback System (RPS). B. Paul was responsible for writing real-time operating systems and application code for custom hardware components, as well as providing operational support for the existing RPS software system during Shuttle launch preparations. In 1985, they joined Lockheed Space Operations Company (LSOC) where they completed the VSI/RTIF upgrade, a real-time multi-processor system running OS9. B. Paul used 'c' and Motorola 68000 assembler for this project. In 1996, they moved to United Space Alliance, where they worked as a Computer Science Staff V for 15 years. During this time, they were responsible for the Shuttle Data Center (SDC) System software, which involved control and monitoring of the SDC, logging, messaging, and external interfaces. B. Paul used 'c' and tcltk scripts for this role. In 2011, Bockstege joined Vencore Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer. B. Paul served as the lead for the Record & Retrieval CSCI of the Launch Control System. This position involved being in charge of the development of the system and its implementation. Previous to working at Vencore, Bockstege was employed by QineticNA, which was eventually bought out by Vencore in 2013.

B. Paul Bockstege holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Systems Science from Florida Atlantic University.
