Hans Harris

System Engineer at Vencore, Inc.

Hans Harris has had a diverse work history in the field of system engineering and safety. Hans started their career at Raytheon Intelligence and Information Systems, where they worked as a Multi-Disciplined Engineer from 2003 to 2006. In this role, they were responsible for system safety, reliability, and maintainability tasks on various programs.

Hans then joined the Missile Defense Agency as a Systems Engineer from 2007 to 2010. Following this, they worked at Safeware Engineering Corporation from 2006 to 2015. Here, they held two roles - Business Development from 2010 to 2015 and System Safety Engineer from 2006 to 2015.

In 2012, Hans joined Orbital Sciences Corporation as a Principal Safety Engineer. In this position, they created safety data packages for launch campaigns and supported OSHA safety analysis.

From 2015 to 2016, Hans worked at SAIC as a Senior System Safety Engineer. Hans was responsible for reviewing the Battle Management System (BMS) software and assessing potential safety hazards. Hans also performed hazard analysis and recommended safety controls for the BMS software.

Most recently, Hans has been employed at Vencore Inc. as a System Engineer since 2016.

Hans Harris holds a Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity from the University of Maryland Global Campus, which they obtained from 2013 to 2016. Prior to this, they completed their undergraduate studies at the University of Maryland from 1997 to 2002, earning a BSME in Mechanical Engineering.
