Hailey Nevins (She/Her)

Hailey Nevins has over 16 years of experience in the design industry with 14 years focused on product design. She has been a mentor and career coach for over 8 years and a design manager for over 6.

Hailey is currently working at Vendia as the Director of Design. Prior to that, she worked at Recursive Thinking as a Design Manager, Mentor and Career Coach. At Recursive Thinking, she mentored and provided career coaching for 32 designers and over 100 tech professionals including managers, developers, product managers, and tech writers.

Before joining Vendia and Recursive Thinking, Hailey worked at Oracle as a Senior User Experience Designer for two years. Hailey contributed to the design process and user interface of various projects. Hailey also gained experience as a UX Designer II at Amazon Web Services (AWS), where she was responsible for the product design process for several AWS products including Route 53, Global Accelerator, Cloud Map, and AWS Elemental.

Hailey has worked at other companies as well, including All Star Directories, where she was a UX Designer, Kodak Winning Fotos as a Lead UX Designer and Royal Cause SPC as a Creative Director and Co-Founder. In addition, Hailey has freelance experience at HDSkelcher Productions.

Throughout their career, Hailey has demonstrated skills in user research, persona creation, user journey mapping, information architecture, wireframing, prototyping, high-fidelity designs, usability testing, and media asset creation. Hailey has also had experience in mentoring and managing other designers, coordinating with marketing teams, and working closely with stakeholders and clients to meet business objectives and develop brand identity.

Overall, Hailey Nevins has a well-rounded portfolio of work experience in the design field, with a strong focus on user experience design, leadership and a track record of successful project launches.

Hailey Nevins earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Cinematography and Film/Video Production from Central Washington University, where she studied from 2011 to 2013. Hailey then pursued a Full Stack Web Development Certification in Computer Software Engineering from freeCodeCamp, completing the program in 2016. Prior to their time at Central Washington University, Hailey Nevins obtained an Associate of Arts and Sciences (AAS) degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies from Bellevue College, where they studied from 2006 to 2011.

In addition to their formal education, Hailey Nevins has obtained several certifications from Lynda.com.
