Louise Adhikari

Louise Adhikari has over 30 years of work experience in various roles in the fields of public affairs, marketing, corporate communications, and business operations. Louise is currently serving as the Vice President of Public Affairs & Communications at Vantage Specialty Chemicals since February 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the Vice President of Marketing & Corporate Communications at Ventas, Inc. from April 2017 to February 2022.

Before joining Ventas, Inc., Adhikari had a long tenure at The Dow Chemical Company, where they held multiple positions. Louise served as the Director of Olympic Engagement & Business Operations for Dow Olympic & Sports Solutions from October 2014 to March 2017. In this role, they oversaw the day-to-day operations and engagement for Dow's sports-associated activities, including Olympic partnerships. Louise also served as the Director of Integrated Corporate Affairs from August 2013 to October 2014 and as the Associate Director of the Office of Chairman & CEO from December 2010 to August 2013.

Adhikari's experience at The Dow Chemical Company also includes the role of Public Affairs Director for Dow India, where they led a corporate communications team and provided strategic direction for in-country issues and crisis communications from December 2008 to December 2010. Louise also served as the Global Business Communications Manager for two business units, ANGUS & Dow Biocides, from November 2004 to January 2008. Additionally, they held the position of Business Communications Manager for Dow Europe from February 2001 to October 2004, where they focused on marketing communications for the European customer base.

Prior to their tenure at The Dow Chemical Company, Adhikari gained experience in the aviation industry as a PR Manager at American Airlines from February 1998 to January 2001. In this role, they were responsible for planning, developing, and implementing PR strategies in Europe and acting as an official company spokesperson.

Louise'searlier work experience includes roles at Profile Public Relations as an Account Executive from August 1997 to January 1998, North London Railways as a PR Assistant (Temporary) from June 1995 to September 1995, and BBC Television in the Press Office from September 1991 to August 1994.

Louise Adhikari obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in American Studies from the University of Hull, which they attended from 1993 to 1997. Later, they pursued Executive Education in Public Policy & Government Affairs at the Public Affairs Institute from 2006 to 2008. Alongside their formal education, Louise also obtained several certifications from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign through Coursera Course Certificates. In September 2016, they completed the Foundations of Everyday Leadership course, followed by the Applications of Everyday Leadership course in October 2016. In November 2016, they obtained a certification in Designing the Organization: From Strategy to Organizational Structure. Louise'smost recent certification was in Managing the Organization: From Organizational Design to Execution, which they obtained in January 2017.
