Megan Butler

Director, Pittsburgh at Venture For America

Megan Butler grew up in Cleveland, Ohio. She moved to Pittsburgh for college and has called the Steel City home ever since! She is thrilled about the opportunity to grow the Pittsburgh entrepreneurship ecosystem through her role at Venture For America.

Prior to joining VFA, Megan worked for the Jewish Healthcare Foundation where she managed initiatives to build Pittsburgh’s regional health care and life science innovation ecosystem. In this role, she also focused on a number of initiatives on maternal health and patient safety – causes that are still very close to her heart.

Megan holds a Master of Science in Health Care Policy & Management and a Bachelor of Science in Policy & Management, both from Carnegie Mellon University. In her free time, Megan enjoys music. She plays the viola in a local non-professional orchestra. She also enjoys spending time with her family and lovable dog, Pudge.
