Senior Programs Associate at Venture For America

Rebecca was born and raised in the suburbs of Denver, Colorado where she called the mountains home. She earned two bachelor’s degrees from The University of Northern Colorado in English and Psychology before moving to Ohio for grad school where she earned her master’s in College Student Personnel from Bowling Green State University. Rebecca loves learning and thinking about how language shapes the world they live in and how they seek to understand it.

Prior to coming to VFA, Rebecca served in many role in higher education from a Resident Director to an Education Coordinator of Prevention Education where she designed, implemented, and assessed violence prevention education for the entire university. Outside of her formal roles, Rebecca is a passionate champion of comprehensive sex education and is currently working on her official Sex Educator certification through the Sexual Health Alliance.

Beyond her work at VFA you can find Rebecca spending lots of time with her dog, Zuko, and family in Cleveland. She hosts a weekly book club with friends and enjoys being outside as much as possible.
