Shaylyn Hynes

Shaylyn Hynes has an extensive work experience in strategic communications and media affairs. Shaylyn is currently serving as the Vice President of Strategic Communications at Venture Global LNG since 2021. Prior to this, they worked at the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) where they held the position of Director of Media Affairs and Department Spokesperson from July 2020 to January 2021, and as Press Secretary from May 2017 to July 2020. Before joining the DOE, they worked in the U.S. House of Representatives as Communications Director for Representative Ted Poe (R-TX) from June 2011 to May 2017, and as Deputy Press Secretary from January 2011 to June 2011. Shaylyn also has experience working at the George W. Bush Foundation as a Development Operations Coordinator from January 2010 to January 2011.

Shaylyn Hynes received a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Southern Methodist University, completing their education from 2005 to 2009.
