With over 25 years of experience from semiconductor direct chip attach wirebonding process optimization in Southern Ontario, to global process optimization and leading mergers & acquisitions integration across Europe, Americas, and Asia, to design and leadership of world-class globally-competitive lean electronics manufacturing factories including in York Region Ontario, to startup leadership as COO of an infrared gesture sensing technology pitched to Google, to financial sector leadership, to electronics manufacturing and vehicle and robotics engineered battery solutions from Quebec, Karen Bozynski Wilson brings a wealth of experience to the ecosystem of startups and global multinationals across ventureLAB. Karen has held numerous board positions including co-founder of award-winning national youth STEM education Actua, empowerment organization Girl Guides of Canada, The National Club in Toronto's financial core, and she currently leads and activates the Canadian alumni association for the world's leading business school INSEAD. Since winning a national engineering competition for her design of convertible logistics containers and being part of a winning solar car team nearly 30 years ago, and mentoring and speaking at conferences for Women in Science and Engineering and now hosting gender-balanced panels with INSEAD's San Francisco Hub for Innovation, she is passionate to support and build Canada's capability for innovation and leadership globally. Karen holds bachelor degrees in both Economics and Materials and Metallurgical Engineering from Queen's University, and MBA from INSEAD, and is a Professional Engineer.
