Elaine Law, CCDM

Elaine Law, CCDM has extensive work experience in the field of clinical data management. Elaine is currently the Senior Director of Clinical Data Management at Ventyx Biosciences, a position they have held since February 2023.

Prior to their current role, Elaine held various positions at Arena Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Elaine first joined the company in August 2018 as an Associate Director of Clinical Data Management. Elaine then progressed to become a Director of Clinical Data Management in November 2019 and later a Senior Director in November 2021. Elaine'stenure at Arena Pharmaceuticals ended in December 2022.

Before joining Arena Pharmaceuticals, Elaine worked at Synteract where they held multiple roles in clinical data management. Elaine started as a Clinical Data Manager II in August 2012 and eventually became a Supervisor in April 2014. From June 2017 to August 2018, they served as a Manager of Clinical Data Management. Elaine initially joined Synteract in April 2006 and left in August 2018.

Elaine also has experience outside of the pharmaceutical industry. Elaine worked as a Consultant at La Jolla Alcohol Research, Inc. from January 2002 to July 2004. Prior to that, they were a Research Assistant I at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies from October 2000 to July 2004.

Elaine Law, CCDM, completed their undergraduate education at UC Irvine from 1996 to 2000, where they obtained a degree in Biological Sciences. Elaine later pursued additional certifications, including a Specialized Certificate in Clinical Trials Administration from UC San Diego Extension, which they obtained in February 2006. In September 2012, Elaine Law obtained their Certified Clinical Data Manager (CCDM) certification from the Society for Clinical Data Management.
