Tim Velasquez

Tim Velasquez has extensive work experience in the fields of analytics, data science, and engineering. Tim is currently the Head of Analytics at Veo, a position they have held since October 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Data Scientist at TuSimple from January 2021 to October 2021.

Tim's previous experience includes roles at Civis Analytics, where they served as a Technical Solutions Manager from March 2020 to December 2020 and as a Data Science Lead from May 2019 to March 2020. Before this, they worked at The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company as a Staff Data Scientist from March 2017 to May 2019, as a Quality Technology Engineer from July 2015 to March 2017, and as a Development Engineer - Engineering Mechanics from February 2013 to July 2015.

In 2018, Tim briefly worked as the Digital Director for John Kennedy OH-76 House Campaign at John Kennedy for Ohio. Tim also has experience as a Graduate Mechanical Engineering Researcher at Northwestern University from September 2011 to December 2012, and as an Engineering Tutor at Hofstra University from September 2009 to August 2011.

Tim's earliest work experience was as an Undergraduate Research Fellow at Mayo Clinic from June 2009 to August 2010. In this role, they gained experience in biomechanics and motion analysis, creating and testing finite element models, reprocessing CT and MRI images, analyzing data using MATLAB and Excel, and providing technical support to clinical staff.

Tim Velasquez completed their Bachelor of Engineering degree in Biomedical Engineering from Hofstra University between 2007 and 2011. Afterward, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Northwestern University from 2011 to 2012.
