Giovanna Loro

Giovanna Loro has a diverse work experience that spans various industries and roles. Giovanna is currently working at Veracyte, Inc. in a Business Development position since August 2021. Prior to this, they worked at HalioDx, the immune response to cancer diagnostics, where they held roles in Business Development from September 2020 onwards and as a Laboratory Scientist from January 2019 to September 2020. Before that, Giovanna was a Postdoctoral Researcher at IRSN from July 2017 to January 2018. Giovanna also worked as a Laboratory Technician at Beckman Coulter from May 2016 to December 2016. In addition, they have academic experience as a PhD student at the University of Padova from January 2012 to March 2015 and as a Research Fellow at the University of Milan from March 2012 to February 2014. Giovanna also has a background as a Scientific Collaborator at Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche Genova, where they worked on a project involving cloning of intracellular animal channel in plasmidic vector for expression in A. thaliana protoplast. Giovanna began their professional career as a Shop Assistant at Calzedonia Group in June 2004.

Giovanna Loro completed their Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from Università degli Studi di Verona in the years 2005 to 2008. Giovanna then pursued their Master's Degree in Industrial Biotechnology at Università degli Studi di Padova from 2008 to 2011. Finally, Giovanna completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Bioscienze e Biotecnologie at Università degli Studi di Padova from 2012 to 2015.
