Maureen Hanratty has an extensive background in design and user experience. Maureen is currently working at Verana Health as the Director of Design, a position they have held since November 2021. Prior to this, they were the Product Design Lead at Verana Health from April 2020 to November 2021. Before joining Verana Health, Maureen worked at Kaiser Permanente as a Design Lead from June 2019 to April 2020. Maureen also had a role as the Director of UX Design at DesignMap from August 2017 to June 2019 and as a Senior Designer at DesignMap from April 2015 to August 2017. Earlier in their career, Maureen worked at Mozilla as a UX Designer from October 2012 to October 2014. Maureen was responsible for designing Firefox Marketplace, Mozilla's app store for mobile, tablet, and desktop web apps. Maureen faced the challenge of designing for low-end devices and users who were new to smartphones. Prior to their work at Mozilla, Maureen was an Interaction Designer at Autodesk from May 2011 to October 2012 and at Yahoo! from August 2009 to May 2011. At Yahoo!, they joined the Flex Force team, working on various projects for the Social User Experience, Globalization, and Yahoo! Homepage teams.
Maureen Hanratty has a Master of Science in Information (MSI) degree in Human-Computer Interaction from the University of Michigan - School of Information, which they obtained from 2007 to 2009. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Painting from the Rhode Island School of Design between 2000 and 2003. In 2018, they completed a course called Design Leadership Fundamentals at the Design Dept. Additionally, they attended a Front End Web Development Part Time Class at General Assembly starting from 2014, with no end date specified.
