Dipendra Dahal, Ph. D.

Process Development Scientist at Veranova

Dipendra Dahal, Ph.D. has extensive experience in scientific research and development. Dipendra started their career as a Research Assistant at The University of Akron, where they mentored and trained junior graduate students while working on various projects related to synthesis and characterization of dyes and molecular probes. Dipendra then became a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the same institution, where they maintained lab equipment, analyzed research data, and provided supervision to lower-grade personnel.

Dr. Dahal later joined the University of Maryland, Baltimore as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow, where they focused on synthesizing and characterizing near-infrared emitting dyes for bioimaging applications, as well as developing prodrugs for sickle cell treatment and toroid peptide nanocrits for binding hemoglobin.

Afterward, Dr. Dahal worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where they contributed to solving critical problems associated with synthesizing antibiotic drugs. Dipendra developed a robust synthetic methodology for an antibiotic TBI-223 and a key intermediate for its synthesis.

Currently, Dr. Dahal is working as a Process Development Scientist at Veranova. Dipendra has received training in various techniques and instruments, including UPLC, LCMS, NMR, XRPD, EasyMax reactor, and DSC. Dipendra'sresponsibilities include executing demanding and time-sensitive assignments safely and technically.

Dipendra Dahal, Ph.D. completed their education at the University of Akron from 2014 to 2019. During this period, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy - Ph.D. degree in the field of Organic Chemistry. Additionally, in July 2021, they obtained a certification in Standard CPR/AED from the National Health and Safety Association.
