Peggy Steele

Peggy Steele has extensive work experience in the biotechnology and food industry. In their current role as the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at Verb Biotics LLC, they are responsible for leading the commercial operations of the startup company, which focuses on developing high-performance probiotics, postbiotics, and related synbiotics. Prior to this, Peggy worked as a Senior Pharma and Dietary Supplement Account Executive at both International Flavors & Fragrances and DuPont Nutrition & Health. At DuPont, they also served as the Global Business Director for Food and Beverage Probiotics. Earlier in their career, Peggy was a Research and Development Manager at Kerry, where they led the product development team for wet dairy applications. Peggy began their professional journey as a Scientist and Research Manager at Land O Lakes Cooperative.

Peggy Steele obtained a Bachelor's degree in Nutrition Sciences from San Jose State University between 1984 and 1987. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) in Food Science at the University of Minnesota from 1996 to 1999.
