Irit Opher

Irit Opher has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Irit currently holds the position of VP of Research at Verbit.ai since June 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Microsoft as a Principal Research Manager, Media AI, Azure from January 2019 to June 2021. From 2014 to 2019, they served as the Head of ACLP - Afeka Center for Language Processing at Afeka Tel Aviv Academic College of Engineering. Before that, they worked at Nice Systems as a Manager of Content Analysis from 2005 to 2014. Irit Opher also has experience as a Senior Researcher at ART (Nuance Israel), a Lecturer at The Academic College of Tel Aviv Yaffo, a Speech Recognition Researcher at Digispeech, an Adjunct Lecturer at Tel Aviv University, an Algorithm Developer at Zapper Technologies, and an Algorithm Developer at NSC.

Irit Opher has an impressive educational background in the field of Physics. Irit started their education at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Physics & Mathematics from 1988 to 1991. Irit then pursued further studies at Tel Aviv University, where they obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Physics from 1991 to 1994. Following their master's degree, they continued their education at Tel Aviv University and completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Physics from 1994 to 1999.
