Ana Cristina Silva has extensive experience in teaching and research. Since August 2014, Ana Cristina has been working as a Portuguese Tutor at italki and as an Online Portuguese Teacher at Verbling. Previous research experience includes a position as a Research Grant Holder at the Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia from August 2010 to September 2012, focusing on the role of glycosylation in oxidative stress and immune response. Ana Cristina also completed a professional internship at the Instituto Português do Sangue e da Transplantação - Centro de Sangue e da Transplantação de Coimbra from October 2009 to July 2010, studying functional and phenotypic characteristics of gamma-delta T cells. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from the Universidade de Aveiro (2010-2012) and a Licentiate degree in Biology from the same institution (2005-2010).
