Andrea Feltner

Andrea Feltner has over 30 years of work experience in software engineering and development.

Currently, they work as a Sr. Software Engineer at Vercara, where they serve as a Project Lead and Developer for a major refactor of the company's DDoS Mitigation offering. Andrea collaborates with Product Owners to define engineering requirements and create user stories, and also leads daily stand-ups, story grooming, and sprint planning sessions.

Prior to Vercara, Andrea spent 15 years at NeuStar, Inc. as a Sr. Software Engineer. During their time there, they gained extensive knowledge in the domain name registry business, serving as an individual contributor and Scrum Master for a DevOps team. Andrea worked with both onshore and offshore developers, QA, and stakeholders to ensure successful project implementation.

Before joining NeuStar, Andrea held positions at Template Software/Level 8/Amdocs and EDS (Electronic Data Systems). At Template Software/Level 8/Amdocs, they worked as a Sr. Software Engineer in two main roles: Product Engineer and Professional Services Engineer. In both capacities, they demonstrated the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a source code controlled environment. As a Professional Services Engineer, they collaborated directly with customers on various projects.

At EDS, Andrea held the titles of Systems Engineer and Advanced Systems Engineer. Andrea worked on all phases of the system life cycle, focusing on the development of a fraud detection system using Object-Oriented technology.

Andrea's early career began at Faraday National, where they worked as a Programmer. Andrea was responsible for designing, coding, and implementing an online time and attendance system for the entire company, as well as maintaining and enhancing programs for the accounting and personnel departments.

Throughout their career, Andrea has demonstrated strong technical skills, leadership abilities, and a collaborative approach to project management.

Andrea Feltner completed their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Computer Information Systems at James Madison University from 1984 to 1987. In 1986, they also spent a brief period at The School for Field Studies, where they studied Humpback Whale Ecology. It is unknown whether they obtained a degree in this particular field of study.
