Jim Makuc

Jim Makuc has worked in a variety of roles over the past 30 years. Jim began their career in 1990 as an R&D Chemist at NOVA Chemicals. Jim then moved to Rohm and Haas in 1992 as a Raw Materials Engineering and Raw Materials Engineering Manager. In 2004, they joined Cabot Corporation as VP and GM Energy Materials, where they were responsible for the Global P&L of the Energy Materials business, and grew revenue from $5M to over $50M per year. Jim also served as Technology Director - Purification Solutions, Facility General Manager, Technical and Product Line Director - Inkjet Colorants, and Strategic Sourcing Manager at Cabot Corporation. In 2020, they semi-retired, and in 2021 they took on roles as an Industry Advisor at Worcester Polytechnic Institute and a Trail Steward at Sudbury Valley Trustees. Currently, they are a Strategic Sourcing Director at Verdox.

Jim Makuc attended Cornell University from 1982 to 1987, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering.
